NCAA Frozen Four

Chip surprised me with tickets to the NCAA Frozen Four Tournament for my birthday! Tracy, Chip's mom, watched Trey while we were in Washington D.C. for the tournament. Miami made it to the championship game, but lost in overtime to Boston University. We were so disappointed, but it was an exciting game, and we hope Miami makes it to the tournament next year!

While we were in D.C. we visited many museums and historical sites. I even got to have a little fun with this chimpanzee at the National Museum of American History.

Chip and I visited a sculpture park near the National Mall and had the opportunity to pose with some, uh, interesting artwork.

It's a giant typewriter eraser!Chip even got to pose in front of the EPA building making a face. This one is for you, Racheal! I think Chip is making fun of recycling......

Overall it was a great week, and I had a wonderful birthday and Easter, even if the Redhawks didn't pull off a national championship. Spending the week in a major metropolitan area made me appreciate the small town that I live in, and the kind of life I enjoy. Our vacation was great, thanks Chip, I love you! Good luck topping this next year!

Holiday Recap

Okay, I know it's mid-February, but things are just now starting to slow down :) I wanted to give everyone a brief overview of our holiday season, since I didn't post anything.

Halloween was awesome, all three of us dressed up as dinosaurs. Tracy, Chip's mom, made all three costumes! It was great, and everyone from the neighborhood thought it was the cutest thing ever. My mom took a picture of the three of us dressed up to work with her, and all the women there said that Chip was a very good guy to dress up as a dinosaur and be out in public. She left out the part where Chip was hiding inside the house and we had to make him come outside to hand out candy :)

Our dinosaur costumes were made of warm fleece, to keep us nice and toasty in late October weather. Unfortunately, the weekend of Halloween had a high of 85 degrees! So needless to say we were roasting. We nearly went extinct :)

Thanksgiving was relaxing. Chip's Great Aunt Kay visited (Trey's great great aunt) and we had lots of yummy food. Trey slept during the dinner, so we don't really have any pictures of that holiday. I always enjoy Thanksgiving, mostly because I love food, and it's a holiday that features a feast. Win win!

Christmas was so fun. Trey made out like a bandit! He received so many gifts from friends and family. We spent the few days preceding Christmas at Chip's family, because his mom's birthday is the 21st. We then traveled to Columbus for Christmas with my family. Christmas day we visted my Dad and stepmom, and my grandparents. It was wonderful to see our family, we had a great time!

Here's a picture of Trey with his mountain of toys after Christmas

And here's a picture of Trey with his stuffed Donkey

This is at my Grandma and Grandpa's condo. Brianna and Shannon on Christmas Day!

On New Years Eve Chip, Trey and I met up with Mary Beth and Ben Lee, and Lizzy and Ben Cady for a few days of some R&R at Mary Beth's grandparent's cabin. We had a great time playing Wii, board games, cards, games of dice (like farkle) and so on. There was no internet or cell phone reception there, so we were kind of cut off from the outside world. It was nice to not have those things the interfere with our relaxing weekend. Thanks to the Lees and their grandparents for their generosity! I was so relaxed, I forgot to take pictures while I was there. I'll have to see if my friends have some.

Ok - now that I've updated the blog, I feel much better!

It's About Time!

For a couple reasons: first, this is my first post in almost three months (I know, I know, pretty lame) and because the new season of 24 is here!

I can be grateful for 24 because now Chip can finally stop pointing an imaginary gun at my knee and yelling "Where are the codes?!?! Where are the codes!!!!!!!" Apparently this is a reenactment from a real episode of 24 where Jack Bauer shoots some guy in the knee during Jack Bauer-style interrogation (i.e. torture). So the Wolford household can finally breathe a sigh of relief, Chip has finally had his 24 fix.
